Ramadan Mubarak to all those observing!
I know that Ramadan this year is radically different than what we’re used to, but let’s not allow ourselves to take for granted the blessings that this beautiful month brings.
This year we will be observing a socially distant Ramadan. Just because we can’t get together in person, doesn’t mean we can’t virtually. My dear friend Sarah, who blogs at Flour & Spice, has started a weekly Ramadan series called Feasting with Friends, in which she has her blogger friends share a recipe that would be deserving of any Ramadan spread.
When Sarah asked me to join her series, I couldn’t say no. Sarah and I have a long history, full of lots of love and support. We both started our food blogging journeys several years ago, long before the glitzy days of social media. We’ve hosted virtual Eid parties together, and cooked multitudes of recipes from each others’ sites. Some of my favorite recipes of Sarah’s are her Taco Lasagna, Coffee Toffee Ice Cream, and Dhaba Style Chanay ki Daal.
I’ve decided to share a recipe for Chicken Tikka Tarts. It’s one of my favorites (you know I have a thing for fusion mashups), and makes for an impressive addition to any spread. It’s a versatile recipe, and allows lots of room for modifications based on ingredients you may have at home. To learn how you too can wow your tastebuds with this surprisingly low maintenance and delicious dish, head on over Sarah’s space.
